A city park can be a space for leisure, democratic expression and resistance, a space where people can engage with other natural entities and much more. The exhibition talks about all these aspects and showcase relevant citizen activism and protest cases in Riga.
The exhibition design process started with search for materials to be up-cycled from Riga City parks. We found waste-wood from old park benches and old concrete trash bins. Fabric curtains protect the historical park drawings from direct sun rays.
The exhibition was curated by Anda Boluža, the large scale illustration by Lote Vilma Vītiņa, the photographies by Reinis Hofmanis.
